the killer

don't let the sun go down on me.
*

Written by Dave "Curly" Williams and Sunny David in a fusion of race
for music's sake, this song was recorded by The Commodores; Big Maybelle; Delores Frederick; and Sunny David himself (in the guise of Roy Hall) long before the killer tracked it down and nailed it straight through the heart.

Lewis was originally from Louisiana, schooled in Texas, and by connecting with Sun Records forever associated with Memphis, Tennessee.

Shake it.

* Note what appears to be tiny traces of amphetamine sulphate, or possibly cocaine, in the lower right hand side of the picture. No wonder there was a whole lot of shakin' going on.

JERRY LEE LEWIS: WHOLE LOT OF SHAKIN' GOING ON from "Whole Lot Of Shakin' Going On b/w It'll Be Me" 45 (Sun) 1957 (US)

THE KILLER

Someday, maybe even soon. I will tell you the story of the time I saw the killer in concert. It was memorable.

I wish I could be Jerry Lee, for just one day, so I would know that a movie version of myself got it on with Winona Ryder.

And (still the movie version Jerry Lee me) had John Doe in my band.

Yeah, I live in fantasy land. What of it?

Lennon remarked that "Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On" was the best rock and roll song ever written.

Not a bad endorcement!

Matt: as long as it's not a "Fantasy Island", you'll be fine.

wzjn: Absolutely!

BTW, Like the look and feel of Got The Fever. It seems odd I haven't seen it before. I added your site to me sidecar links, and if you don't mind I'll be dropping by to comment.

Cheers!
