A kissing cousin of sorts to Stretch's "Why Did You Do It ?", this single made #3 on the US Hot 100 a year later in 1977. Formed in Stafford, England in 1968 the original sextet featured Derek Holt (Guitar); Peter Haycock (Guitar); Arthur Wood (Keyboards); Richard Jones (Bass); George Newsome (Drums); Colin Cooper (Vocals & Saxophone).

You're very welcome, planet mondo. Thanks for the kind words and the reciprocal link; i just noticed - cheers. It's been a kind of odd week thus far. I dug out this one on account of the previous Sherbet 45. The two are inextricably tied together in my memory. It reminds me of what else was going on in 1976 while English punk rock was simmering away.
