has anybody heard of the motherf@ckers ?

Like somebody once said just before he got fired from a local radio station here in Glasgow:

"Fuck it, let's have a quiz..."

I'm not sure where this one comes from exactly. I think it may be from the "Give Apple A Chance" bootleg, but it's something I picked up somewhere down the line. Answers on the back of a motherf@ckin' postcard, please.

The first sibling to correctly identify the mystery track gets to make a no holds barred request; but who will assess the winning entry's veracity ?

Blow - don't know that one is it a cover or an unreleased original?

Sounds like a cross between Alessi's Oh Lori and this lot (crazily, still unsigned) The Sonic Excutive sessions

I'm pretty sure it's an original session track; actually, it hadn't even occurred to be that it might be until you mentioned it...

My not knowing the answer is a bit of a snag.

Yes. It's gotta be an original; there's no faking that "Let It Be" guitar. Never mind the wit.

yeah - I've no doubt it's a legit recording, it's just the tune sounds like it could be something from the 'Palais Age' - but Macca's always been great at these sort of pasctiches.Still don't know it though

I did find a link to Toot and Snore the last Lennon McCartney session from '74 - you can grab it at Liqourice Pizza

Couple things: It can't be a toot & a snore b/c at one point you hear George Harrison's voice and I'm pretty sure he wasn't at a Toot & a Snore.

Also: Engelbert Humperdinck broke the Beatles's streak of #1's when "Release Me" beat out Strawberry/Penny I think. So this might be from around that time.

Just googled: it's a McCartney tune called "Suicide". I hope you're not sending coded messages, ib?

Coded messages ? Me ? Like I said once to my doctor: "Suicide's never really been an option..." ;)

If it is, indeed, "Suicide", Emmett, you are a winner! I thought it was maybe "Junk", but the fun is in the sleuthing. Seriously, I got it at random off the web eons ago - no provenance - and although I've played it a good many times I've never been sure of where it originally hailed from. The timeline you refer to sounds about right...
