I am not a huge fan of R.E.M. - too much of a stadium sadism about them for that - but I am a big fan of the cut-up / shopping list / catalogue technique employed on this early b-side. Oh. And "Out of Time" was highly listenable too.

I've always hated R.E.M., while liking some of their songs. It's a backlash thing, really. My wife is totally loving this, though!

Good to know, Emmett! While I am sympathetic to your contempt for MTV stalwarts such as R.E.M., I am glad to hear your wife has such great taste; it is a little frustrating that this song was never deemed good enough to grace an a-side. One of their best.
