air raid

"testing, testing: 1-2-3-4..."

I was somewhat dismayed earlier today to find that Warden's World has mysteriously been deleted.

If you are out there, Warden... What's up ? Have you gone FTP or switched to a custom domain or what ?

Written by Erc Burdon; Vic Briggs; Barry Jenkins.

ERIC BURDON & THE ANIMALS: SKY PILOT (PARTS I & II) [STEREO] from "The Twain Shall Meet" LP (MGM / POLYDOR) 1968 (UK / US)

The Air Raid Warning was clearly a false alarm; I see the world is back online. Oh, well. At least it prompted me to dust down "Sky Pilot".

ib, it was just an evasive maneuver.

Reports of my online demise are greatly exaggerated.

Brilliant song, by the way.

A relief, Warden.

The reported 'deletion', with reference to Google, struck me as fairly sinister.

"Sky Pilot" is almost anthemic. In an unusually bearable fashion. I am rather fond of all things Burdon, despite his inclination to ham things up.

You're right about Burdon; even post Animals, he always kept it interesting. Spill the Wine is one of THE songs of my misspent youth, would have to go on my weird '70s soundtrack along with Uncle Albert and Hocus Pocus by Focus.

"Spill The Wine" can not be overrated, I agree. What a blast.
