Always been one of my favorites. There is so much going on in this song.

Sadly, I never managed to lay my hands on the original freebie 45. I had a first issue copy of their 1977 CBS LP; but I don't recall that it ever came with the famous red sticker. Added to that, you also required the N.M.E. coupon which I'm sure I must have had since I collected every issue quite faithfully.

I remember it changing hands for quite a few pounds sterling, though.

Do you have any idea what the b-side was?
I wish vinyl freebies still existed. I am pretty certain that I don't have any. I can't think of any, at least.

the 45 consisted of three tracks, one being an introduction and the other an interview with Tony Parsons of the N.M.E., I think.

I didn't ony a copy of "Capital Radio" until they recut it on "The Cost Of Living" EP, which came out around the same time as the original 10" "Black Market Clash."

My most prized 'vinyl' freebie is a 33 1/3 RPM coupling of a version of the Red Crayola's "Hurricane Fighter Plane" and Roky & The Elevators' "Reverberation". It came with some magazine and is a ridiculously flimsly flexi. I used to have to place coins on it to stop the stylus from skipping.
